What the shop offers

The Community Shop is managed and staffed entirely by volunteers as a local service.

As well as a large range of general supplies, including bread, milk and other fresh foods, the shop sells a large number of locally grown and produced food items, including apple juice, eggs, artisan cheeses, honey and home-made cakes and puddings. We also sell a range of ice creams and Tim’s yogurts, widely recognised as being among the best available. Locally written books and pamphlets, many about aspects of Iffley’s history and culture, and a range of postcards and greeting cards made by local artists are also on sale, as well as locally made ceramics. You can also buy your copy of the Oxford Times in the shop each week. And why not buy one of the shop’s iconic tote bags so that you can become a moving advertisement for our shop wherever you are?

We also sell stamps for sending letters and postcards anywhere in the world. If you’re not at home when a parcel arrives, it can be left in the shop for you to collect later.

You can also buy tickets for local events and society meetings, including those organised by FOIV.
